Do You Accept Insurance?

We are private pay and we do not accept insurance.

After payment we can provide you with a receipt for reimbursement from your insurance company. If you are interested in this, please contact your insurance company to determine that your plan offers out-of-network coverage.

Why Don’t You Accept Insurance?

Immediate Availability

We are currently accepting new patients with no wait. It can take weeks if not months to see a clinician that accepts insurance. Making the decision to begin this healing process is an important and often difficult decision. Waiting to see an approved therapist can be frustrating and detrimental.

Control your own Therapy

Insurance companies use ‘medical necessity’ to decide how often you are allowed to see your therapist. We believe that decision should be made collaboratively, between you and your therapist.

In order to determine ‘medical necessity,’ insurance companies have the right to review your entire medical record, including all session notes. We believe that such personal information should be confidential and not reviewed by insurance companies.

How Can I Reduce the Cost?

Check with your insurance company to see if your plan covers out-of-network treatment

Many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network treatment. We can provide you with a monthly receipt that you can submit to your insurance company. They can reimburse you up to 100% of your costs. Please contact your insurance company to confirm your coverage.

You may apply for a fee reduction

Speak with your therapist regarding your need for a fee reduction. We offer a certain percentage of our clients a sliding scale. We use a standard measurement tool to determine a rate based on your income.
